The classic dance drama Dream of Dunhuang was staged at the Lanzhou Concert Hall for students and faculty of Lanzhou Bowen College of Science and Technology on Dec 22. The event captivated the full house with an immersive artistic experience.

The four-act legendary dance drama is set against the historical backdrop of the Dunhuang art caves. It follows the emotional journeys of Mo Gao, a young painter, and Yue Ya, a general's daughter, vividly portraying their poignant love story.

The performance deeply moved the audience, tracing Mo Gao's solo pursuit of his artistic dreams in Dunhuang, his encounter with Yue Ya, the obstacles they faced, and ultimately Yue Ya's sacrifice to protect Mo Gao — transforming into a spring, which Mo Gao used to complete his artistic masterpiece.

Lanzhou Bowen College of Science and Technology integrates aesthetic education into its daily teaching practices, enriching classrooms with culture, calligraphy, painting, and folk music.

This approach aims to enhance students' aesthetic appreciation and cultural confidence through interactive learning, creating a measurable and sustainable educational system.
