The Thailand Pavilion — guest of honor at the 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo — opened on the morning of Sept 21 at the Dunhuang International Exhibition Center.
For its part, the Thailand pavilion showed five cultural treasures listed by UNESCO as Thai representative works of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Highlights included the Khon masked dance drama, the traditional Thai massage, the southern Nora dance, the vibrant Songkran New Year celebration and the iconic Thai dish Tom Yum Goong soup.
Combining vivid imagery with authentic artifacts, the exhibit offered visitors an immersive experience of Thailand's rich cultural heritage and unique national charm.
