Gansu trip inspires tour operators across Asia
A delegation of 36 leading Asian tour operators from six countries, including Malaysia, Japan, and Vietnam, completed their tour of Dunhuang and Zhangye in Gansu province as part of the Nihao! China 2025 Asian Tour Operators' China Trip on Aug 20.
During their stay, the tour operators immersed themselves in the unique charm of both cities. In Dunhuang, the visitors explored the Mogao Grottoes, watched the Dynamic Dunhuang performance, and visited the Dunhuang Museum.
They experienced traditional seal carving at Dunhuang Press, strolled through Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring scenic spot, and sampled local delicacies at a night market, fully appreciating the blend of historical heritage, cultural appeal, and natural beauty.

In Zhangye, the delegation visited the Mati Eco-tourism Area, Pingshanhu Grand Canyon, and the Colorful Danxia scenic spot. The unique natural scenery and rich cultural significance revealed substantial potential for developing specialized tourism routes.

During the trip, a promotion conference for Gansu's cultural tourism resources was held, showcasing the province's abundant tourism resources, featured itineraries, and favorable tourism development environments. Three specialized tour routes were highlighted during the conference.
Gansu has established six direct flight routes to Asian destinations, providing convenience for inbound tourism.
During the event, representatives from Japan and Vietnam shared their experiences and expressed the shared vision for future cooperation.
