Japanese youth delegation engages in cultural dialogue at Dunhuang Academy

The Dunhuang Academy welcomed a Japanese youth friendship delegation for an in-depth exchange focused on cultural preservation and academic cooperation on June 23.
Su Bomin, director of the Dunhuang Academy, greeted the group, expressing appreciation for Japan's long-standing support of Dunhuang's cultural heritage and recalling decades of collaboration in relic conservation and joint talent development.
Shiga Kenka, chairman of the Japan-China Peace and Development Promotion Association, introduced the delegation and expressed hopes for deeper youth exchanges between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by youth representatives from Japan and senior staff from the Dunhuang Academy. Following the dialogue, the delegation toured key heritage conservation facilities, including the Dunhuang Grottoes Heritage Exhibition Center, the Dunhuang Grottoes Monitoring Center, and the iconic Mogao Caves.
