The classic Chinese dance drama Flower Rains Along the Silk Road captivated audiences at the Dunhuang Grand Theatre on the evening of Sept 18, 2017, serving as a highlight of the Second Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo.

Inspired by the murals of the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, the production integrates elements from diverse dance schools, celebrating the spirit of friendship, trade, and mutual prosperity along the ancient Silk Road, according to Lu Jinlong, president of the Gansu Dance and Opera Theatre.
