A forum on the literary expression of Dunhuang culture was held in Gansu province on Sept 21 as part of the 7th Silk Road (Dunhuang) Cultural Expo.

Experts and scholars gathered at the event to look into the transmission of Silk Road culture, the contemporary relevance of Dunhuang culture, the creation of new forms of human civilization, and the implementation of the Global Civilization Initiative proposed at the opening ceremony of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

During the forum, participants introduced fresh perspectives, new ideas and innovative approaches on these topics. Scholars emphasized that the nurturing and inheritance of culture transcends time and remains ever-relevant, providing a rich foundation for contemporary artistic creation and literary expression.

In conjunction with the forum, the Gansu Provincial Government Information Office organized a media session where guest speakers addressed topics such as the representation of Dunhuang culture in literary works and the importance of enhancing literary exchanges with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The event highlighted the ongoing significance of Dunhuang culture as a source of inspiration for global cultural and literary dialogue.
