Gansu shows its best side in Singapore and South Korea
Gansu provincial people's government held introduction and marketing events in Singapore and Seoul last week in a bid to deepen cultural and economic ties with the two cities, and foster collaboration for mutual growth.

The events, which ran from Aug 4 to 9, highlighted Gansu's key role in promoting green development, bringing together over 270 political and business leaders across sectors including trade, investment, culture, tourism, science and education.
During the cultural and tourism sessions, Li Dianjun, deputy director of Gansu's Department of Culture and Tourism, presented on the province's rich cultural heritage, industrial progress and advanced transportation infrastructure, which garnered attention from tourism companies in Singapore and Seoul alike.
A series of partnership agreements were signed at the conferences between Gansu-based enterprises and institutions and businesses in Singapore and South Korea, with a focus on attracting more tourists to Gansu.

In Seoul, the intangible cultural heritage exhibition area captivated attendees with traditional crafts like double-sided embroidery and Tianshui lacquerware, alongside striking photographs of Gansu's scenic landmarks.
In all, 41 cooperation projects worth 1.66 billion yuan ($232.02 million) were signed over the course of the week, representing significant progress in Gansu's efforts to strengthen its global presence and promote regional development.
