Central Asian-style street opens for trial run in Dunhuang

A Central Asian-style street has begun a trial run in Dunhuang, Northwest China's Gansu province, offering visitors a unique tourist experience.
The street features a strikingly designed dome, exquisitely carved stained glass windows and magnificent facades, creating a visually stunning and captivating environment.
More than 1,000 kinds of high-quality specialties from nearly 20 countries and regions, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Mongolia and Kashgar prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, are being showcased in the street. The array of goods in front of each merchant is dazzling, highlighting the breadth and depth of various cultures. Visitors can while away their time selecting their favorite products from the stalls.
A representative from a local catering management company said, "We have introduced Indian flying cakes, Turkish ice cream, Pakistani pilaf, and Russian skewers will be arriving soon.
"We are confident that the Central Asian-style street will become a lively and prosperous destination."
Zhang Zhiwen, a tourist from South China's Guangdong province, would highly recommend the new attraction to other visitors, "The Central Asian-style street feels very fresh to me," she said.
"The Turkish ice cream was particularly interesting, and the place is definitely worth a visit for its distinctive atmosphere."
