'Starry Sky' concert kicks off in Dunhuang
The Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake Scenic Area in Dunhuang, Gansu province welcomed this year's Starry Sky Concert on June 15, drawing over 20,000 tourists from around the country.

The most-anticipated event featured a lineup of the best known Chinese pop songs that are youthful and energetic and sparked romance and passion among the audience.
In step with the rhythm of the music, tourists waved glow sticks and mobile phone flashlights, transforming the scenic area into a dreamland.

Above the crowd, drone formations performed, changing shapes to depict iconic Dunhuang elements like camels, the Mogao Grottoes' nine-story building, and the Nine-Color Deer from Dunhuang frescos.
Accordingly, the Starry Sky Concert will continue through the end of October, starting at nightfall and lasting about 1.5 hours.
To enhance tourists' experience, the scenic area has upgraded its infrastructure and incorporated light shows, drone displays and sand screen shows to showcase the rich charm of Dunhuang culture.
