The large-scale indoor immersive melodrama Encore Dunhuang has resumed since March to speed up the recovery of local tourism market.

The performance project selects six historical figures as clue characters, and uses five from Dunhuang's history to show the Silk Road culture in an epic way. It has become a new business card of Dunhuang cultural tourism that allows the audience to feel the cultural charm of ancient Dunhuang up close.

The production, which premiered in September 2016, has been performed more than 4,800 times and has received more than 3.5 million visitors from home and abroad.
