Dunhuang celebrates museum day with diverse program

The Dunhuang Museum in Gansu province has come alive with intangible cultural heritage performances and cultural activities, including the Thangka art exhibition, the Aksay Kazakh ethic fashion show, and Dunhuang dance performances.
The activities and grand performances were staged to mark the 47th International Museum Day, which fell on May 18, and the 13th China Tourism Day that falls on May 19.
During the event, the city's popular tourist attractions, including the Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Scenic Spot, the Dunhuang Yardang National Geopark, and the Dunhuang Yumenguan Scenic Area, were open for free to tourists.
