From Mar 26 onwards, Dunhuang Airport will open new freight routes to Chongqing, Longnan, Korla, and Turpan - major cities in Southwest and Northwest China, and is set to receive more tourists from across the country.

Accordingly, the airport will also add more routes to Lanzhou, Xi'an, Hangzhou, capitals of Gansu, Shaanxi and Zhejiang provinces, increasing its total route number to 23.

This summer and autumn, there will be a flight from Lanzhou to Dunhuang every two hours. In addition, Mogao Grotto art lovers from Chongqing and Sichuan province’s Chengdu are expected to go directly to the destination.
