He said that we should take the meeting as a good opportunity to further deepen and expand cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation.
Chen suggested establishing an online Silk Road platform to facilitate tourism services for both Gansu and Thailand.
In addition, Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province, should resume direct charter flights to Bangkok, Thailand, after the COVID-19 pandemic, and promote two-way tourism exchanges. The land and maritime Silk Roads will also be built to further strengthen the friendship between the two sides.
Chen also invited the Consulate General, representatives from all walks of life in Thailand, and people from the cultural and tourism fields to attend the 5th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo and the 10th Dunhuang Tour-Silk Road International Tourism Festival, which are to be held in Dunhuang on September 24 - 26.
Trairatananukool spoke highly of the development achievements of cultural tourism in Gansu in recent years. She said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, the consulate general will continue to play a role as a bridge to deepen friendly exchanges and promote cooperation in culture and tourism between Gansu and Thailand.
