Gansu promotes local culture and tourism resources in Macao
Organized by the Gansu Culture and Tourism Bureau, seven key foreign-related cultural and tourism enterprises in Northwest China's Gansu province participated in the 9th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo from July 9 to 11.
The enterprises displayed the splendid history, culture and rich tourism resources of Gansu, enabling exhibitors and the public to have a deeper understanding of the province through the expo.
Exhibitors from Gansu exchanged views and established business contact with their counterparts from Macao and other places at the expo. They successfully promoted Gansu's distinctive study tours, which feature the Silk Road and Hexi Corridor, to Macao's youths.
These activities aimed to help youths better understand China's long history and its splendid culture, and worked to enhance their sense of identity with the country and the nation, increasing communication between the youths of Macao and Gansu.
This year's expo had an area of 23,000 square meters, with around 710 booths. Offering online and offline exhibitions, the expo boasted six highlights: an immersive tourism experience, the development of the tourism and cultural creativity industry, the integration of tourism and e-commerce, the development of tourism products in the Greater Bay Area, the expansion of the scale of Macao Street exhibitions, the revitalization of the tourism economy, and brand image and the promotion of specialty stores.
A total of 270 Chinese mainland exhibitors, 106 Macao exhibitors, and 23 international exhibitors participated in the expo.
